About the Author
"I have been working on various projects in Georgia since the war in 2008. I spent a full four years there as the director of the Czech Center in Tbilisi, which I established. Over the years, I have traveled across Georgia, experienced a lot, met many people, and became part of their families. Georgia is my second home.
What sets this book apart is my subjective view of the country and its people. The richness that only someone who has lived in the country for a long time can convey. I ask readers to be understanding, as I may occasionally exaggerate.
I have been involved in transformation and development aid in Georgia for a long time. I strive to help and make things better. However, progress is slow. This leads me to search for causes and deeper reflections on the nature of Georgians. I would love for this country to flourish, given its beauty, and for it to prosper. But it's a slow process."
